Comcast is making a VOD play where you’ll be able the rent DVDs the “same day” they come out via Comcast On Demand.

Smart move for Comcast - easiest way to get a “new release” as far as I can tell, no?

Of course, it still requires that cable connection that I’m severing in 13 days.
