I installed the Zune Software and iTunes on the Media Server I’m using for this grand experiment.

I downloaded some music from eMusic - so that we wouldn’t have any DRM issues (we’ll test those issues later). Had the eMusic download software dump everything right into my iTunes directory in my “My Music” folder. Worked like a charm.

Zune picked it up automatically (as did Windows Media Center) so things synced easily (and played through my Xbox extender). I had to tell iTunes to add the folder to the library - but that was easily.

Been playing Johnny Cash (yes, you can get him at eMusic on my Zune, iPod, Xbox (via Media Center Extender) and through Airtunes.

So far, nothing to report.
