Left My Wife Home With Akimbo Last Night

Had dinner with a friend last night and left my wife at home, alone, with Akimbo.

Now she’s no techo-dummy, she just doesn’t like wasting time on gadgets for the sake of being gadgets. With the Turn on Xbox, turn on Media Extender, select Akimbo, enter password, find the program, play the program (yes, it takes that many steps), I was curious what her response would be when I returned home.

Because, as I mentioned earlier, the interface leaves much to be desired.

Did she find something she liked? Did she bust the remote in frustration?

She watched a History Channel documentary I had downloaded earlier in the day that I thought she might enjoy. She also listened to a bit of music.

Not a single complaint, and not a single commerical slung at her all night.

Nice.

Tomorrow night The Office is on NBC. Don’t know when it will appear on iTunes but when it does, we’ll catch it via the Video iPod jacked into the television. Will iTV launch next week and change all that?
