Amazon Unbox Windows Media Extender

So, my three year old has a bad case of strep throat. I told my wife to grab a few z’s yesterday while the three year old watched a little tv and I caught up on the laptop a few feet away.

We’ve got a dozen or show kids shows across the Video iPod and our Amazon Unbox account. Since I still don’t have my Apple TV yet, I have to walk across the room and set up each one. Unbox is easier, because I can run it from my remote.

But my sick little one (yes, I’m a Daddy’s girl) was tired of the shows on the Xbox (or as we call him, “Boxxy”), and wanted something new.

From the same laptop I was doing my important business on, I visited Amazon Unbox, purchased a Dora and a Blues Clues, and within a few minutes we were watching them.

All this from the combined power of a wireless laptop and an Xbox remote control.

Not bad at all.
