By now I’m sure you’ve heard the rumor that Apple TV will have a Slingcatcher type element that will let you stream content from your desktop to your television set.

Question #1 - Would this be the “Apple only” feature there has been so much buzz about? I just can’t believe Steve is going to give the exact same functionality across both options. Heck, is this why the Wireless N requirements?

Question #2 - If his feature is implemented, I’ll be buying a lot fewer shows on iTunes. The one (usually 15 second) commercial between each break is a fine trade off. I can imagine many will have the same impulse. Could … this be a move to get networks to stop streaming their shows because of all the potentially lost iTunes revenue.

I know, pretty tin foil hat here, but he does have me curious.
